Join Waidmann in Spain and experience Monteria - one of Europe's most traditional and powerful forms of hunting. It's a hunt steeped in history, heart and pulse.

During a Monteria we usually hunt red deer, wild boar, mouflon and even fallow deer, on large fields that are only hunted once a year. This means that each hunting day offers intense game experiences, with up to 100 game or more usually taken per day and group. We often hunt areas between 500 and 2000 hectares, with terrain ranging from open valleys to hilly mountain passes.

The day starts with a classic Spanish breakfast, followed by a pass draw and hunt briefing. You will be assisted on the pass by an experienced guide, and there are often 20-50 hunters and up to 500 hounds and dozens of drovers in a carefully coordinated hunt.

After the hunt, an after-hunt awaits in the sun, with good food and drinks under the open sky, followed by a game parade showing the day's results. In the evenings we gather for communal dinners with Spanish food, good wines and lots of laughter - this is where the stories of the hunting day are shared and memories are made.

Accommodation is adapted according to location and season - sometimes we stay in charming lodges in the hunting area, other times in comfortable hotels in nearby towns, always with high comfort and personalized service.
