Welcome to join us on this exclusive hunting trip to Spain, carefully put together to combine the best that Monteria, Spain has to offer.
Over two intense days, we will experience two completely different hunting environments - each with its own unique character and charm. We start with a traditional Monteria in beautiful, open terrain with natural passes and dog calls echoing between the hills. Next, an exclusive castle hunt near Madrid awaits, with high game concentration, elegant meals and top-class personal service.
A holistic experience where tradition meets first-class comfort and top-class service, where the hunt is always at the center but where the experience is enhanced by good food, Spanish wines and atmospheric community.
Each hunting day is rounded off with an afterhunt and game parade - a natural part of the Spanish hunt. The evenings are spent with well-prepared dinners and relaxation in carefully selected accommodation, where we sum up the day together.
Saturday, February 7 - Vallejunco, Anchuras
We start in the classic Monteria spirit on the open hunting ground Vallejunco in Anchuras - an area known for its strong game populations and scenic terrain. The land offers a hilly environment, natural passes and medium shooting distances. We hunt completely freely on red deer, fallow deer and wild boar, and with 45 shooters, experienced drivers and strong dog teams, an eventful day is expected with up to 80-100 felled game. The day ends with a classic afterhunt - tapas, wine and fellowship around the game parade.
Sunday, February 8 - Castillo de Viñuelas
On day two, we raise the bar when we step into the exclusive world of Castillo de Viñuelas, just outside Madrid. Here we hunt in a small group of maximum 20 shooters on a ground with huge amounts of game - often each shooter sees over 100 animals during a pass. The focus is on hinds of red and fallow deer and wild boar. Trophies are also available in medal class for an additional fee. After the hunt, a top-class castle lunch awaits, with selected wines and service of the highest level.
A third day of hunting - for those who can't get enough
For those who want to get even more out of the trip, it is possible to add an extra hunting day. Then the trip starts already on Thursday instead of Friday. On this day we hunt together with a Spanish company - a social and genuine experience that adds another dimension to the trip and the chance for even more fantastic hunting in the Spanish spirit.
Accommodation & closure
During the trip, we stay in a comfortable and well-chosen 4-star hotel, where we enjoy good food, local atmosphere and a place to land after the hunt. Each evening offers Spanish gastronomy, wines and fellowship.
The trip often ends with a dinner together in Madrid - a perfect opportunity to summarize the experience before heading home.
A journey of contrast and character
This is a Monteria trip for those who want to experience both the intense and traditional - and the elegant and exclusive. From a traditional Monteria in Valljunco to a castle lunch in Vinuelas. From hunting pavilion to wine service under crystal chandeliers. A hunting trip that both impresses and inspires - and that you will definitely want to experience again.

Once in Madrid, we'll end your trip with a memorable dinner at one of the city's best restaurants. Here we'll enjoy great food and drinks while celebrating a fantastic hunting trip together. After a last wonderful evening in Madrid, we head to the airport the next day and fly home full of great memories from a hunting experience beyond the ordinary.
Day 1 - Arrival in Spain
The flight lands in Madrid, where our tour guide will meet you at the arrivals hall. We'll make sure your weapons are handled smoothly and help you collect them from the police - everything is prepared in advance to get you ready quickly.
Depending on the number of guests, we gather together before getting into our comfortable minibuses with their own drivers. The journey to the accommodation takes about two hours, and during the trip we often offer cold drinks and a nice atmosphere in the car.
Once we arrive, we check into our charming hotel in Guadalupe - a historic small town at the foot of the mountains. Here awaits a welcome dinner with good food, drinks and presentation of the coming days' arrangements. The evening ends in peace and quiet so that everyone has the opportunity to rest up for tomorrow's hunt.
Day 2 - The hunting adventure starts
After an early morning and a quick cup of coffee at the hotel, we head off to the day's proceedings. At the meeting point, we are greeted by tables and sometimes large white tents where a classic Montería breakfast is served: Migas - a local dish of fried bread, chorizo and garlic, which is both rustic and tasty.
While you enjoy breakfast, the hunt leader goes through the final planning. Then the shooters are driven out to their positions. The hunt usually lasts 3-4 hours, with each hunter sitting on passes in varying terrain - from open hills to denser woodland. You'll be taken out with a packed lunch of tapas and drinks to keep your energy up.
When the hunt ends, all participants gather for a classic afterhunt. Beer, wine and good food are served while the game parade is prepared - often an impressive spectacle of the day's results. As the afternoon turns to evening, we head back to the hotel to change, rest a little and then finish the day with a delicious three-course dinner in the company of your hunting companions.
Day 3 - Last day of hunting
We start the day by checking out of the hotel early, before returning to the hunting ground for another exciting day. Breakfast on the ground is served just like the day before - with Migas, coffee and a relaxed atmosphere.
The hunt follows the same routine as the previous day. There will be 3-4 intense hours on the pass, with a chance of red deer, mouflon and wild boar. This day also ends with a traditional afterhunt and a grand game parade.
Afterwards, we'll head back to Madrid (about a 2-hour journey), where we'll check into a comfortable hotel near the airport. In the evening, a festive closing dinner awaits at one of Madrid's best restaurants - an evening where we celebrate together, toast the hunt and enjoy top-class Spanish gastronomy.
Day 4 - Return journey
We end the trip with a good hotel breakfast before heading to the airport together. Our staff will be on hand to help with check-in and any weapons handling - so that the journey home also goes smoothly.
You will fly home with a smile, full of strong impressions, the joy of hunting and unforgettable memories of Spain's hunting culture and a Montería in absolute top class.
During our stay in Extremadura, we stay in a personalized and charming hotel in the heart of the historic town of Guadalupe. The hotel is just a stone's throw from the mighty Royal Monastery, surrounded by cobbled streets, small tapas bars and a quiet square where time seems to slow down.
The rooms are rustic but comfortable, with details that reflect the culture and history of the area. After a day of hunting, a hot shower, a glass of wine in the lounge or a walk in the still evening air awaits before we gather for dinner. Here, local culinary delights are combined with personalized service - an accommodation that sets the mood for the whole trip.
Comfortable hotel in Madrid last night
On our last night we will stay in a modern and comfortable hotel in Madrid, strategically located near the airport for a smooth flight home the next morning. Here we will have the opportunity to rest after the journey from the hunting ground, refresh ourselves and enjoy the pulse of the city.

This trip offers a unique combination of two completely different hunting experiences: a classic Monteria in beautiful and natural terrain, with open passes and strong tradition - followed by an exclusive day at one of Spain's most prestigious hunting castles. The contrast between a classic open hunting ground and an exclusive castle hunt with top service creates an overall experience beyond the ordinary.
Day 1 - Monteria Vallejunco, Anchuras
We start the hunt in Vallejunco, a scenic open hunting ground in Anchuras - an area with a deep-rooted Monteria tradition and strong game populations. The land stretches over a hilly landscape with smaller mountains, open spaces and denser lots - perfect for classic Monteria with natural shooting lanes.
The passes are often naturally shaped in the terrain, with good visibility and average shooting distance - neither too close nor too far. They require concentration and quick decisions. With 45 hunters on the pass, experienced drovers and strong dog teams, an intense day of activity awaits.
We hunt completely free for Red Deer, Fallow Deer and Wild Boar, and although some focus is on females and wild boar, there are good chances to also spot nice trophies. It's a vibrant land of variety, volume and character - and a perfect start to the trip.
After the hunt, we gather in a classic afterhunt with tapas, wine and Spanish delicacies - a natural part of the Monteria tradition where the community is at the center while the day's game parade is arranged.

Day 2 - Monteria Castillo de Viñuelas
On day two, we raise the bar further - both in terms of environment and experience. We head to the ancient Castillo de Vinuelas, a historic hunting lodge just 20 minutes from Madrid. The land covers about 4,000 hectares and is known for its very strong game populations.
Here we hunt exclusively with a small group of maximum 20 hunters, which creates a calm, well-coordinated and personalized hunting experience. The terrain is slightly hilly with open fields, oak forests and natural glades where the game moves in large herds. Shooters are positioned with great care, and safety and visibility are excellent.
It is not uncommon for each shooter to see over 100+ game in a day, so the challenge is to choose the right location - safe shooting chances, good bullet catch and the right animal. The hunt is mainly focused on hinds of Fallow Deer and Wild Boar, but there are also very nice trophies in medal class that can be shot for a supplement, if the opportunity arises.
The experience is framed by the first-class setting of the castle - from the logistics of the hunt to top-class meals, where well-composed dishes and selected wines are served in elegant castle surroundings. The level of service is a cut above the rest - discreet, personal and thoughtful down to the last detail.

Monteria is a Spanish hunting tradition that goes back a long way in history - and is still deeply rooted in Spanish culture. It is an intense driven hunt for hoofed game that combines passion, precision and pulse, often set in magnificent landscapes of rolling hills, dense thickets and open valleys.
Unlike traditional driven hunting in the Nordic countries, in Spain they hunt one large shoot a day, often between 500 and 1000 hectares in size, but sometimes even larger. By law, each plot can only be hunted once a year, which means that the game is not disturbed and the hunt can be very productive - usually between 50 and over 200 game are shot in a day, but sometimes even more.
A Monteria usually involves 15 to 60 hunters, but Waidmann prefers to organize smaller, more exclusive hunts with between 15 and 35 shooters - for increased quality and community. Shooters are placed on marked passes, often with a hunting guide at their side to help with everything from safety to game handling.
A unique feature of Monteria is the dogs. Instead of individual drovers with a single dog, they work in packs of dogs, called Rehalas, of up to 15-25 dogs per handler. It is these dogs that search the game and push the game towards the shooters. Many dogs carry GPS, bells and clear color markings to be easily recognized and to increase safety. Often 10-20 Rehalas are released at the same time, which means there can be between 200 and 500 dogs loose at any one time.
Focus on safety and quality
At Waidmann, we take security very seriously. Before each Montería, we personally visit the hunting grounds to evaluate the organizers' safety practices, passport placement and overall quality. We only work with organizers and captains we fully trust - ones who put safety, respect and hunting ethics first.
All hunters receive clear pre-hunt instructions on shooting directions, signals and communication - and we are always on hand with our own representative on site to make sure the hunt runs safely and in an organized way. But remember, we're in Spain and experiencing Spanish traditional hunting, which means you also have to enjoy Spain's, sometimes somewhat, leisurely pace. Manana.
Monteria is more than just hunting. It's an experience filled with Spanish flavors, proud traditions, intense hunting scenes and deep community. A hunt every hunter should experience at least once in their life - and with Waidmann, you get the best of what Spain has to offer.

Spain is famous for its wines. A wine tasting is an opportunity to learn more about the region's specialties and enjoy tasty wines in beautiful surroundings.
Add a wine tasting to your Monteria trip and experience another side of Spain's rich culture. Visit a local bodega in the area - often a family-owned winery with a long tradition - where you can go behind the scenes and learn about wine production from grape to bottle.
During the tasting, you will taste several different wines from the region, often accompanied by small snacks such as cheese, charcuterie and bread. A knowledgeable guide will explain the different grape varieties, production methods and flavors, deepening the experience and giving a new perspective on Spanish wine tradition.
Taking place in beautiful surroundings - often in a courtyard, wine cellar or overlooking the vines - wine tasting is both relaxing and inspiring after a day in the woods.
I will always remember this hunting day. The hunt started a little later than usual due to the fog, but once it lifted we were all filled with anticipation. The pass was high up in the mountains, with a beautiful view that made the experience even more magical.
The day gave me a hunting experience I will never forget - I shot two red deer, three hinds, a boar, a mouflon beetle and a mouflon cock. Every minute was action-packed, and the bangs of my pass neighbors and the barking of the dogs filled the day with excitement. I was truly on a pass in the center of the action.
After the hunt we gathered for a big afterhunt in the sun that had now broken through the fog and warmed us. The atmosphere was great as we all shared our hunting experiences and laughed together. It was a great sense of community and joy after such an intense and exciting day.
This hunt was truly special, and I will forever remember it as one of the most magical hunting experiences of my life.
Booking a hunting trip is often a long-awaited experience - and with the right preparation, it will be smooth, safe and memorable. Here are some key tips and advice to help you get the most out of your trip:
Choose the right hunt for you

Do you want to experience the thrill of a Monteria in Spain, a stealth hunt in Hungary or perhaps a wake hunt for wild boar? We will guide you in the right direction.
Be flexible - Hunting is Hunting
Hunting is always on nature's terms. The weather, the movement of the game and other circumstances can affect the outcome. Although the hunt is the goal, it is often the experience itself - the nature, the camaraderie and the thrill - that becomes the strongest memory.

After that, export documents, veterinary certificates and customs documents are handled in cooperation with our experienced freight forwarders.

Going on a hunting trip means new experiences and memories for life. Unfortunately, it's not possible to control everything that happens, and sometimes unexpected things happen that can cause problems. So it's good to be insured both before and during your trip.
Often the travel protection included in home insurance and credit cards does not cover everything you need or want.
To make you feel as safe as possible when traveling with us, we have chosen to cooperate with Europeiska ERV, which has over 100 years in the industry. Together with Europeiska ERV, we offer their Travel Insurance Plus and Cancellation Protection. If you want to know more or want to take out an insurance, please contact us and we will help you with this.
The rules for using silencers vary from country to country. In Sweden and many other European countries, silencers are allowed and often recommended for hunting. However, in some countries, such as Spain, Poland, Serbia and Croatia, they are prohibited.
When you book a trip with Waidmann, you will always be given clear information about what applies in the hunting country in question.
Traveling with hunting weapons is possible, but it requires proper documentation and planning. Exactly what is needed depends on the country you are traveling to, but in general the following applies:
European travel: For hunting trips within the EU, a European firearms pass is required, which you apply for at the Police. We recommend that you apply directly when booking, as the processing time can be several weeks. You also need to notify Swedish Customs that you are taking your firearm out of the country. In most cases, a special invitation or hunting license is also required from the country you are going to hunt in - we at Waidmann will make sure you get this in good time.
Read more on the Police website
Travel outside the EU: For example, for Africa or other continents, a temporary arms export via the Swedish Customs is usually required, as well as a hunting license, invitation and sometimes a temporary import license. Rules vary from country to country, but Waidmann ensures that everything is handled correctly from the start, so you avoid uncertainty and hassle upon entry.
Air transportation: Your weapon must be transported in an approved, lockable gun case or bag. Ammunition is packed separately according to the airline's security rules. Weapon transportation must be notified to the airline in advance - if Waidmann books your flight, we will handle this notification and the entire process for you.
Waidmann has extensive experience in hunting trips with weapons and is with you throughout the process. You will receive clear instructions and the right documentation in good time before departure. If you want to travel without your own weapon, it is often possible to rent weapons on site, depending on the destination.
You can definitely book as a solo hunter with Waidmann! We offer both planned trips for single hunters, as well as small and large groups.
We welcome all hunters, whether you are alone or traveling with a group. Many of our hunters find that a hunting trip is a great opportunity to make new friends in hunting. Several of our 'bonded' groups have continued to hunt together years after their first hunting trip with Waidmann.
For those looking for a more personalized experience, we tailor hunting trips for both individual hunters and smaller groups. We also arrange trips for larger groups, where we adapt the experience to the specific needs and wishes of the group. In addition, we have the opportunity to combine several smaller groups to create a common hunting experience, which provides both variety and community.
Whether you are traveling alone or with a group, you can be sure that at Waidmann we will customize your trip to give you the best possible experience.
Booking a hunting trip with Waidmann is easy and we offer several convenient payment options. Here are the steps for booking and payment:

In the booking portal, you manage your entire trip - you fill in your contact details, make payments and receive ongoing updates and all important information before departure. Everything in one place.

Final payment: The remaining amount is paid closer to departure, and the final payment must be made at least 40 days before departure.
Trap fees, if any: If there are trap fees, these are payable 24 hours after returning from the trip.
Payment: You can easily pay by card, Trustly, Swish or invoice. If you would like an invoice, please contact us and we will arrange it for you.
Cancellation: In case of cancellation, the following cancellation fees apply:
30% of the price of the trip between the time of booking and 40 days before departure.
100% of the price of the trip between 39 days before departure and the day of departure itself.
Flights: If the flight is booked by Waidmann and you cancel the trip, the flight price is paid at 100%.
We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, especially for exclusive or long-distance trips, to protect yourself against unforeseen events. We offer cancellation cover through ERV.
For questions about payment, booking or cancellation, you are always welcome to contact us. We are here to help you through the whole process.
We recommend that you book your hunting trip at least 6-18 months in advance, especially if you have specific preferences for the type of hunt, destination or timing. Some trips, such as those to popular destinations in high season or with a limited number of places, book up quickly.
However, it is often no problem to book at short notice, as long as there is availability. We have good experience of helping hunters out at short notice when the opportunity exists.
For exclusive or tailor-made hunting trips, as well as trips outside Europe that require more extensive documentation and planning, it is a clear advantage to be in the know well in advance. It gives us a better chance of securing the best hunting grounds, accommodation and flight connections - and you'll have plenty of time to arrange permits, gun exports and other preparations at your leisure.
Absolutely, many of our guests are making their very first hunting trip abroad with us. We have a lot of experience in looking after first-timers and making sure you feel safe throughout the process.
We help you with everything from choosing the right type of hunt and destination to preparation, documentation and equipment. During the trip, you will always have access to experienced guides and organizers who will support you both practically and mentally in the hunt.
For those who do not have their own equipment or want to travel light, it is usually possible to rent weapons and other equipment on site. We also adapt the level of difficulty, organization and expectations to your level of experience.
Whether it's your first hunting trip or you've been out many times before, we'll make sure you have a personalized and professionally executed experience.
