The roebuck is the male of the deer and is most active in spring when the rutting season starts. During this time, it marks its territory with loud calls and by fighting with other bucks. The roebuck is found throughout Europe and often moves through forest and agricultural landscapes. The hunt is short but intense and requires patience, speed and an understanding of the animal's behavior during the rutting season. The weight is normally between 20-30 kg.
