Hunting in Scotland

For 3-4 days, we sneak around the Scottish Highlands to look for fine Scottish red deer. Here in the highlands, you usually hunt slightly smaller or older deer and leave the largest deer that are not capitalized yet. You hunt the red deer when they are out on the mountain during the day, usually during high rut.

We work with professional hunting organizations on site and have great confidence in them. In Scotland we have hunting guides with great experience of the game and the area, they are very keen to present great experiences to the guests who come. Our partner in Scotland has very long experience and has access to many different lands in Scotland. We have handpicked the lands where there are skilled local guides and where the wildlife is managed in a very good way.

Hunting takes place on various estates in the north of Scotland. The classic Scottish Highlands, with its beautiful scenery, rapid weather changes and varying winds, provide a wonderful challenge both physically and in terms of hunting. This requires a lot of the hunter.

Deer hunting in Scotland is a great experience that differs from deer hunting in other European countries such as Poland or Hungary. Generally speaking, the deer are much smaller in Scotland and move in a different way in the highlands than in normal forest environments.

If you want to shoot another red deer, it may be possible to do so. In that case, there is an additional cost of about SEK 10,000.

Travel & accommodation in Scotland

We start the trip by flying to Edinburgh in Scotland from Gothenburg, Stockholm or Copenhagen.

At the airport, your tour guide will be waiting to pick you up. Then there is a drive of about a few hours up to the lodge / cottage we live in. Here you have the chance to see some of Scotland's countryside.

After arriving at the accommodation, there is time to settle into the rooms. There is also the opportunity to have a drink before a nice welcome dinner.

During these trips you stay in a lodge/cabin in the middle of the hunting ground. You hunt almost directly from the door here, which gives a great advantage in terms of time.

Our partner is there to take care of you throughout the week! He cooks really good food, serves good drinks and shares all his wonderful hunting stories from Scotland. Your local "stalkers" will come directly to the cabin and pick you up before you head out on the mountain after a good breakfast.

Here we live, eat good food and enjoy good company throughout the week. If you are interested in fishing, there may be the possibility of really good fishing here in Scotland. Let us know when you book if you want fishing during the week as well.

The hunting guides come and meet us in the evening and go through the hunt and the arrangements for the week.

Then a little sleep before the adventure begins in earnest!

Good to know!

You can bring your own gun to Scotland, although it is more complicated than in the rest of Europe after Brexit. We recommend borrowing guns on site. These guns are good quality 270win, 308win, 30-06 with appropriate optics and silencers and leg rests.

If you want to bring your own weapon, we help with this too.
